Largest Tree House

Horatio Burgess is a priest. According to him, God encouraged him to build such a unique house, who promised that there would be no shortage of materials. Burgess has been building his house for almost 11 years! The result is a 10-storey wooden structure with an area of about 3400 square meters.

The house is supported by six powerful oak trees, which allowed it to be considered the largest structure in the trees. However, for official entry into the Guinness Book of Records, Burgess's house must undergo precise measurements. In addition, the local fire department has claims to it, since a wooden building can easily catch fire, fire safety requirements have not been fully met.

Burgess's house looks, frankly, not too presentable. This is not surprising. The builder saved and used materials at hand, including old boards, trimmings, logs, various production waste. But the house of such a large area cost the owner only 12 thousand dollars.

Over 258 thousand nails were spent on the construction of the building. This became the most expensive item during the construction of the building. The house has many balconies, spiral staircases, 10 bedrooms, an area with a basketball hoop. On the top floor is the owner's wife's penthouse. The layout is rather complicated, it takes a lot of time to go around the whole house. And since Burgess is a priest, there is an altar in the house and even a massive church bell.

Today Burgess lets out visitors wishing to see his amazing house for free, holds church services, but complains about vandals who are trying to leave autographs on wooden walls.
