Foam glass

Foam glass is one of the most promising cellular materials. In addition to thickening the outer walls of the house, they can also insulate free-standing rooms, for example. kitchen, sauna, cellar or garage. You can meet it in the form of plates, granules or so-called shells. Foam glass is made in the following way: traditional glass powder is sintered and at the same time expanded.

Foam glass has excellent thermal insulation. Hermetically sealed cells with zero air permeability completely eliminate the possibility of heat blowing out of the glass. Airtightness of foam glass helps to maintain the microclimate in the house or apartment. The material is very water resistant, water cannot get inside and destroy it when freezing or expanding.

Foam glass has high physical and performance characteristics. The service life can exceed a century! With it, you can decide on capital construction and not worry about its effectiveness.

You will not have big problems with material transportation, the foam glass is very light in weight. Despite this light weight, the material is very durable. Foam glass is not subject to deformation, you will not be disturbed by its shrinkage or sagging. Also, foam glass excludes the possibility of fungus appearing on the walls, since it cannot serve as a breeding ground for it. The same applies to mold and any other microorganisms that cannot harm foam glass and plant roots. In addition, foam glass prevents various insects and rodents from entering the house.

Another important advantage of foam glass is its similarity to window and dish glass. Like these materials, foam glass has no sanitary and hygienic restrictions. With operation, you will not have any special problems, it does not require special care, it is resistant to moisture, temperature changes, and the effects of gasoline.

Plastmigran is the most unfamiliar word for potential clients. This material is one of the latest novelties not only in our market, and therefore we often have to deal with the lack of any information about this type of insulation. Plastmigran is a new word in fiber insulation. Only recently have the technology of fine and superfine fibers been applied. And the products have not yet received sufficient distribution.

Plastmigran is an environmentally friendly insulation; it does not contain any chemical additives. This insulation was specially developed for residential buildings, but we will not see enough of it on the market soon. In the CIS countries there are simply no conditions for its mass production; this requires complex and expensive equipment. Insulation is very practical and comfortable. It has good thermal and sound insulation properties. The composition of plastmigran includes mineral wool granules and polystyrene dust. They are mixed until homogeneous and placed in a perforated metal mold. After that, the mass is blown with steam under high pressure. Plastmigran is a very economical material, in all respects it surpasses expanded polystyrene and most products made of mineral wool.Despite the presence of expanded polystyrene in the composition, it is quite resistant to fire, you can safely lay communications and wiring next to it. Waterproof. Has excellent resistance to artificial fertilizers, foamed paints, soap, groundwater. Does not decompose under the influence of various microorganisms.

Liquid ceramics

Liquid ceramics are attractive to the buyer primarily by their versatility; they can be applied to almost any coating. In addition, this type of coating completely relieves the owners of fungal formations on the walls, thereby saving people's time and energy. Whatever material your walls are made of, be it cardboard or concrete, the liquid ceramic coating will insulate your walls with the same effect. But still, it is better to listen to the opinion of experts and choose the ideal option for your walls.

Liquid ceramics, like “hard” ones, are made of clay, which has already proven itself as an insulating material. Liquid ceramics have good heat and sound insulation properties. Despite the versatility, there is still a difference in products from different manufacturers. For example, Moutrical is a water-based liquid composition. This coating contains acrylic polymers and rubber. It should be noted the good waterproofing of the coating, which also prevents corrosion well. Possesses good fire-fighting properties. The coating is very versatile, it can be applied to any building materials - plastic, brick, concrete, metal and many others. The shape of the surface does not matter.

Some manufacturers add ceramic and silicone vacuum balls to the composition. Thanks to this, the coating acquires additional flexibility and extensibility, while retaining all its useful properties. True, the number of acceptable materials on which this coating can be applied is somewhat reduced. Suitable for this are brick, concrete, metal, wood, glass, plastic and rubber. The surface must be cleaned and degreased before coating, otherwise it will begin to flake off over time. For coating, you can use any tools at hand - a brush, roller or spray.

Among domestic manufacturers, Keramoizol has proven itself very well. A lot of chemical additives are added to its composition - polysiloxanes, stanonaxanes, etc. It has very good thermal insulation properties, a layer of such a coating is equal in heat to a 4-centimeter foam layer. Absolutely non-flammable. Manufacturers confidently call it an environmentally friendly product, but still goggles and rubber gloves will not hurt much during work. It is a powder that must be diluted with water before starting work. You can even work indoors. But in this case, glasses and a respirator are required. Ideal for masonry, steel, concrete or plastics. It is undesirable to apply it to polyethylene.

Before starting work, the mixture must be stirred until a homogeneous mass is formed, and then carefully applied to the surface. Follow. So that the layer thickness does not exceed half a millimeter, and if it is concrete or brick, then 1 mm. If the thickness of the layer seems to you insufficient, you can apply the next one. But you just need to wait until this layer dries out. And after a day you can start working.
