You can protect your sleeves and hands from getting paint if you use plastic bags without a bottom as oversleeves, and put rubber gloves on your hands. To make it easier to put on or take off your gloves, pre-fill them with water.

Attach a plastic bag to the edges of the crockery. This will protect it from contamination with paint, chemicals when filling it.

For painting smooth surfaces, a brush can be made from several layers of fabric tightly wound on a wooden handle and secured with wire and twine. Pull out several rows of cross threads beforehand.

If you put on a nylon stocking (2-3 layers) on the brush, the bleaching solution will be applied in a thin, even layer.

When whitewashing (painting) ceilings, it is more convenient to use a brush with an extended handle made of aluminum tube. Attach a small pallet under the roller (made of tin, preferably plastic from a used canister) (Fig. 1).

Use a cut tin can when working with a paint roller. To clean the brush from nitro varnish, rinse it 2-3 times in warm water, after soaping it, then dry it and repeat the procedure again.

Attach a handle to the steel brush from above, and it will be more convenient to use (Fig. 2).

Stick old newspapers on the ceiling, walls. This will help you clear them of the water-based paint. When the glue dries, the newspapers will come off along with the paint.

The streaks on the ceiling and walls will disappear if they are pre-coated or painted over with oil paint.

Tying a thin (1.5-2.0 mm) piece of foam rubber to the conical nozzle of the vacuum cleaner will help you refresh the whitewashed ceiling (fig. 3).

You can remove old oil paint with a solution that includes 1.3 kg of quicklime, 0.45 kg of potash and water. Cover the surface with a solution brought to a density of sour cream for 12 hours.

Aniline dyes for fabric (or gouache) will help you choose a variety of color shades for water-based paint.

The paint will stick to metal objects longer if you wipe them with vinegar and let them dry before painting.

To paint pipes, reflectors, radiators of heating systems in a hard-to-reach place, use a toothbrush, preheating the handle and bending it as necessary (Fig. 4).

Water-based paint stains can be easily washed off with vinegar.

Clean your hands stained with oil paint with vegetable oil, and then wash your hands with warm water and soap.

In a jar, oil paint will not dry longer if you put thick paper on its surface, and pour linseed oil or machine oil on top.

Add detergent to the water and boil the paint-dried brushes for several hours, then separate the bristles with an awl or nail and rinse.

An old hole in the concrete wall will help you locate the magnet. To do this, put a pushpin in the hole before wallpapering the walls.

When facing a brick wall on wooden corks, attach the pushpins with plasticine with the tip outward. Now attach the cladding panel and you will see where to drill the holes.

The carpet can be hung on a concrete wall using a wooden strip equal to the length of the carpet. It is attached to the wall with three screws. Nails are nailed to the rail, and rings are sewn to the carpet.

When using a glass cutter, do not forget to attach (glue) a piece of thin rubber to the ruler, which will give it a stable position. After the cut, lay the glass so that the line does not reach the edge of the table by about 1 cm. Lightly but sharply push down.

It is easy to separate dried window putty from the frame if you lubricate it with machine oil.
